A
s most artists are affected by their surroundings, I, too, was deeply shocked by the sudden and almost simultaneous loss of the three giants who have contributed so generously to the world in our time—Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, and Gianni Versace.

Some of us express our grief by writing songs, some by creating paintings. I chose to express my feelings of sorrow through bronze artistry.

The creative process of this sculpture was motivated by my deep emotional reaction to these unbelievable losses, so close together. Contemplation of Diana's painfully short life and unfinished future; the senseless assassination of Gianni Versace, who gave so much beauty to the world and so much charity to AIDS research; and the conclusion of Mother Teresa's life–long devotion to those in need of care and love fused into one energy which inspired this sculptural symbolism of loss and sorrow.

This monument design is my attempt to address and commemorate love lost both in the public arena and in our own private lives.

The emotional reactions from those who have seen this sculpture on exhibit have led me to the conclusion that it should be reproduced for the public in monument size and a permanent home found where the public may appreciate and remember the power and beauty of love.

To restate the purpose for creation of this site and my invitation to you, I have created a miniature of my overall plan for a large–scale public work of art in the hope that the monument construction will be sponsored by an organization, corporation, government agency, or individual.

If you, or your associates, would be interested in joining me in this noble pursuit, I am open to, suggestions, and recommendations which may culminate in the completion of this project . Please contact me at the number indicated below.

Needed for the construction of this monument:

  • A permanent, public location for monument's installation.
  • Architectural engineering firm to direct construction of the marble platform.
  • A construction company skilled in fine marble installation.
  • Funding for the casting of the larger–than–life–sized, bronze figure.

Thank you,
